Valeri Bocage is the founder of Powerful Women International and has been assisting people in living their dreams for over 15 years. She has inspired hundreds of people to fulfill on their life's mission. She has coached authors, entrepreneurs, parents, families, public speakers and artists to expand their vision for what is possible in their professional and personal lives. Valeri was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. As a result of Hurricane Katrina, Valeri lost EVERYTHING, except her indomitable spirit and true passion for life. She took the loss as an opportunity to start a whole new life, and moved to San Francisco to fulfill on her dream of "EMPOWERING WOMEN TO EMPOWER THE WORLD." Malaika Singleton
"Networking, Leadership, and Other Opportunities Through Education"
Malaika Singleton is currently a 6th year Ph.D. Candidate in the Neuroscience Graduate Group at UC Davis. Previously she earned a B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Rutgers University-Newark College of Arts & Sciences and New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2004. Malaika is currently serving her second term as Chair of the Graduate Student Association at UCD and is involved in many on and off-campus groups/activities. She's the former Co-Chair and current Historian for the Black Graduate and Professional Student Association (BGPSA) at UCD and is an active member of the Davis African Club (DAC), Graduate Ally Coaliton (GAC), and Graduate Student Leaders Consortium (GSLC). Recently, Malaika was nominated and accepted to serve as the Western Regional Representative for the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) Social Justice Committee.
